@Jolly said in Foul reactions - Assassination Attempt: @LuFins-Dad said in Foul reactions - Assassination Attempt: The same way the cop got up there and then went down… The ladder. Like I said, they said no ladder. The cop had to get one Now, that could be wrong reporting...But hearings start next week, I believe. They can say what they want. The guy had a 5ft ladder.

Without more social workers, these things will continue to happen.

Well, looks like we got out of town just in time then. Spent a long weekend with the fam on a last minute trip to Chicago, and kept thinking...."Where's the effing wind?!" Surprisingly good place to get some runs in, but yeah, a little cross breeze would have been appreciated. Hopefully just minor clean up from the storm on your end.

When my nephew was walking the Appalachian Trail, he had fallen in with a couple of other young guys...That tends to happen a good bit...You may walk to the next stop or even do a few days together. The three of them had a high pucker moment. They're walking down the trail and a bear cub crosses right in front of them. They stop dead still and hear Mama calling for baby. They quickly grabbed their jackets or blankets off their pack and huddled together. Mama lumbered out in the trail and gave them the eye. They stretched out their coat and blankets above their head, making themselves as big as they could, and started yelling. She stood on her hind legs and growled at them to shut up. God intervened and baby started squalling for Mama, and Mama took off on the run to find baby. My nephew and his two trail buddies took off running, too. And didn't quit until they were a half mile down the trail...

@Axtremus said in Stop typing in the damn computer...: Just like I don't have problems with physicians taking notes with pen/paper while with a patient, I have no problem if the same notes are taken with a computer instead. Yeah, I guess this is just the 21st century version of paper note taking during meetings. I usually do paper notes, but if it is a meeting where it looks disrespectful to take notes, I do "talk to text" right after the meeting. But I agree with Georges point - many doctors will not have time right after a patient because the next one is already there.

Somewhere (maybe here?) I heard that a contractor of some sort had a hammer (or something like that) that he welded to the back bumper to keep people from tailgating him. LOL

@Doctor-Phibes said in A History of Violence: I think in general this is an increasing problem. I agree and it is sad and unfortunate. Not only in the political area - but in all areas. Going to an airport for example.

@Jolly said in Biden addresses the nation.: Well rehearsed, rested and drugged. Yup. The problem is this cannot be done 24 hours/day and being the president means not every thing is on a script.
